I had a pleasant stay overall. The rooms are modern and the staff is accommodating, but there were some issues with the air conditioning unit in the bedroom. The location is convenient on the main New England Highway, but it's a bit far from the center of Tamworth. The dining experience was good with beautifully presented choices, but there was an incident in the car park.

I had way more space than I needed in the rooms, which were clean and very comfortable. The Coal Bunker Bar at The Powerhouse really knew their food menu, and the service was exceptional.
